The Game is one of the hottest rappers in hip-hop today, and Gilbert Arenas is one of the hottest players in the NBA.
So naturally, when Arenas needed a headliner for his much-hyped, much-publicized 25th birthday party, he called on The Game.
After Arenas -- the superstar Washington Wizards guard who’s averaging more than 30 points per game this season -- torched the Los Angeles Clippers for 35 points and 12 assists in a Wizards win Friday night, the party was on.
Thousands of guests, including Arenas’ Wizards teammates and members of the Washington Redskins, descended upon the Love night club in Washington, D.C., for four floors of black-tie, red-carpet entertainment hosted by rap, fashion and business impresario Sean “P. Diddy” Combs.
The highlight of the event was the all-star hip-hop bill, with performances from Lil’ Wayne, T.I., Busta Rhymes and, of course, The Game, who tore down the house by closing out the evening of music.
Game ran through a tight set of material from both of his albums -- his debut, The Documentary, and this year’s critically acclaimed follow-up, Doctor’s Advocate.
He closed out the night with a raucous rendition of the first single off Doctor’s Advocate, “It’s Okay (One Blood),” which brought the house down in typical Game fashion.
Come back to TheGame360.com next week for exclusive video from the event.
And get ready to see the show in-person -- The Game will be bringing his show-stopping beats and rhymes to a concert hall near you when his upcoming American tour starts soon.
