The Game set to storm Europe
By Doug Miller / TheGame360.com
The Game might have been born and bred in the very American neighborhood of South Central Los Angeles, but the popularity of hip-hop music has spread all over the world and so has the unmistakable sound of The Game.

With his highly anticipated sophomore album, Doctor’s Advocate, set to drop Nov. 14, The Game isn’t wasting any time taking his music to a global audience.

He’s embarking on a European tour starting in Manchester, England, on Dec. 4, and culminating in Berlin, Germany, three days before Christmas. He’ll warm-up the new tracks on the album in front of what he describes as manic audiences, getting ready to bring the show back to the States in time for the New Year.

“Whenever you go over there, the reception is just phenomenal,” The Game said. “It’s big, man. They appreciate you. You perform over there, it’s like adrenaline is pumping and the whole place is on fire. Everybody’s rocking.

“Their hands are up and they never come down. It’s a constant rock. Two hours, man. And they get to doing them soccer chants, and it fucks your head up. It’s real crazy shit. So if any artist that hasn’t had the opportunity to go, it’s definitely, definitely well worth it.”

The Game’s European tour will hit some classic old European cities, including his personal favorites -– Dublin, Ireland and London -– plus Paris, several cities in Germany, Milan, Italy, Brussels, Belgium, two cities in Norway, Stockholm, Sweden, Copenhagen, Amsterdam and Zurich, Switzerland.

According to The Game, traveling to these places and bringing his music to new audiences is always a revelation.

“Just traveling abroad in itself opens your eyes to a whole other lifestyle, a whole way of life, man,” The Game said. “Those people over there, they appreciate music a lot more than we do. This is America, man. We take everything for granted. We feel like we’re the No. 1 country, which we are. We take everything for granted because we have everything.

“Over there, people are a little bit more culturally biased and they stay to themselves, so whenever you get big artists like myself, Jay-Z, Eminem, 50 Cent, guys like that, over there, you know, we’re not from Europe or we’re not from these places, and and we’re not coming there every other day. You can’t just walk or go anywhere and just see these artists.”

And then there’s another reason The Game loves Europe.

“Their money’s worth more than ours,” The Game said.

“So you gotta go there and get your weight up.”
